Trek India Welcomes you for the Kedarnath Yatra
& Rishikesh 2023
About Kedarnath
Kedarnath is located at a distance of 223 km from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand and close to the source of the Mandakini River at
the height of 3,583 m (11,755ft) above sea level. A trip to Kedarnath feels
like opening a door to salvation.
A holy temple tucked away amidst the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas, every year,
pilgrims go in large numbers to Kedarnath as part of the Chardham Yatra.
Kedarnath is a serene and beautiful location to be at thanks to the adjacent
flowing Mandakini River, hypnotic vistas, and superb sceneries in the presence
of the snow-clad mountains, dense forests, and mesmerizing environment. This
place is a plus for hikers, as well as spiritual individuals. According
to Hindu legends, the temple was initially built by Pandavas and is one of the
twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest Hindu shrines of Shiva. This temple is the
highest among the 12 Jyotirlingas.
